Lumpy tickover 1.9 tdi 130

Hi I have a 2005 vw polo 1.9 tdi sport (130)
After I had a cambelt/water pump fitted, I noticed when the car is warm the tickover is slightly lumpy. As soon as I push the air con button, the tickover is fine and the rpm hardly moves but is enough to smooth the car out. Can the tickover be manually adjusted?
