so at just 24k of abuse the standard weak dual mass clutch gave up and begun to slip and cause me to become get a slower car, so i needed to get it sorted, also needed to get the cambelt service done and some other general bits, so got on the blower to awesome gti

i was booked in that day and i took the car in for the following

general inspection of all mechanical parts
new wipers
arb bushes replacing due to front end creaking
cambelt service and ALL pulleys and tensioners doing
ECS stage 1 clutch and flywheel conversion kit supplying and fitting to make the car single mas not dual
rolling road dyno run

dropped the car off wednesday afternoon and it was ready to collect on friday morning, but i was in work, so i collected it saturday

GOOD GOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE

with the clutch being bigger the sheer clamping force is awesome, and as i opted for the 20.5lb flywheel, theres no transmission rattle as its now converted to single mass

car ran 237 bhp and an impressive 278 ft/lb torque

got it home but it was just missing something to make it feel and look more or a beast, it was just too subtle, time to spice it up with a set of new wheels, now its a wolf that looks like a wolf and not a sheep

7 x 17 speedline turini's flow formed, et35, rolling on toyo proxes t1r 205x40x17 tyres

so after a good wash, trim, wax and interior done it looked like this
