Just wondering what people do to there polo's to put them into "winter mode"?

I'm doing as many jobs to the car as possible which involves lying on the floor.. That's no fun in winter..

I'm on the lookout for winter wheels. I've done G60 steels three times so I fancy something different! Maybe 15" Estorils or Le Castellets.

Otherwise, not much going on!

Mine gets garaged from october to April and my mk3 becomes my daily

Damnit I've just put my 16's on, fail Might revert back to 15's when the weather gets that bad.

If it snows I'm going to ask for my escort back, could go anywhere in that thing, 155 13's are so good in the snow

I'm going to leave my rx2's on and buy some poorboys wheel sealant to protect them from the salt

Thats the way i roll,except they get a cake in of Collinite or two.

I usually write mine off by then!

That poorboys wheel sealent is awesome!!

Not sure what my polo will look like in 'winter mode' might take the alulines off and put the bbs on. God knows.

What's the vital winter checks to do??

I've just got some of this stuff, only put on one coat last sunday, found it a bit awkward to do, seemed to get loads stuck in with the wheel bolts. Im gonna add a few coats sometime soon, hope they'll be ok, unless i find some cheap steels to rock for a few months.

Other than that i'll get some rubber mats, cant think what else.

Did you leave your rx2's on last winter? If so, were they alright with the salt and that mate?

Mine is just a simple change of wheels for the winter mode, i'll stick the G60's back on in November and put the RXII's back in the shed tucked away from the cold.

I wouldnt really leave the RXII's on in the winter unless they are already in need of a refurb.
Mine suffered last year up until december and then I bought myself the steel wheels. They do require a lot of TLC the BBS split rims especially in the winter months.
