Boost gauge

Where is the best place to tap the line into and also. Where is the best grommet to go through I
have the vent pod

we talkin diesel i assume? some egr delete kits have a takeoff on them for the boost gauge, if not i drilled into the hard plastic boost pipe toward the rear of the engine on dsw88's polo, used a tyre valve through thatand a couple of bits to adapt it to the size of the pipe that comes with boost gauges, hes probably had it on over 15k or more without problem, i think i put it through somewhere around the passenger footwell area, theres probably somewhere closer to the drivers vent though but his were going in the dash above the stereo etc,

somewhere near the gearbox i think, but cant remember exactly

i made sure the pipe was plenty long enough thats all

Got mine going through a gromet near door and through wing eventually

Bonnet release cable grommet for LHD cars. 4 AWG cable fits, and then some. Here are a few pics of my car:
