Right Ive seen some nice alloys for sale which Im considering buying (if the price is right) which are 15", 8J, ET37.
Just wanted to know what tyre size would be suitable for that size of wheel?
With them being 8J I was thinking 205/45/R15 because I dont really want any tyre stretch.
I run 195's on my RXII's (16's) but they are only 6.5J
Any help would be appreciated guys
Ben,

I'd imagine you'd still get some stretch even on a 205, 8" is pretty wide. An 18" Audi A3 wheel is about 8" (I think anyway) and they run 225's with no kind of stretch
Hope this helps, lol

Cheers dude

I was thinking 205 or 215 but your probably right I might need to go as much as 225.
Anybody got any pics of a 6N2 running on 8J wheels?
I think the Borbet A's are 8J and they seem to fit on the Polo alright.

You will really struggle to use a tyre wider than a 195 with scrubbing massively - the arches arent very deep on the polos. A 205 will be pushing it, but a 225 will be almost impossible.
Remember an Audi is built on a Golf chassis which as standard can take up to 19inch rims.

Yeah the Polo arches are very small to be fair, the turning circle can be a problem at times.
I might have to give them a miss then if thats the case, I was hoping they were 7J but unfortunately they are 8.
Ahwell looks like its the G60's again this winter
