Bumper strips on door

How are these held on? mine are scraped and want to put new ones on but not sure if its just glue?
What is the best way to take the old ones off?

They are held on with a thin 3M foam tape - they already come pretaped if bought new

heat them up an pull them off?
Do you reckon that is the best way to remove them?

Thats how I did mine - getting the old foam glue off is a pig though.
A small scraper, a hairdryer and lots of intensive tar remover (dont use petrol - itll dull the paint)
