Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum so i just wanted to introduce myself, so yeah, im Newaz, i just bought a 3 door black Polo 9N 1.4 16v Sport 100, as my first car.
Just a few quick questions, is there a way you can open/close the windows on the car via the buttons on the keyfob? without having to insert the key into the keyhole and either hold it in the lock/unlock position, everytime.
Also, my car came with a cassette deck and a 6 cd changer. i was thinking of maybe getting one of those ipod interfaces installed or even maybe one of those double din headunits off ebay (the polo has made me skint loll).. but im abit unsure on the double din, do they look tacky when fitted and how reliable are they?
Thanks and Happy new year!

the remote windows is a tricky one on the polo, me and K.I.T.T have both looked into it, him moreso than me

but i do have some new codes (link that he forwarded to me) to try in the control unit once i get the chance

I've come to the conclusion that remote windows can't be enabled on cars built after 11/04. And it can't be done with VAG-COM. You need VDS-pro and a computer with an old school serial port and DOS.

Been cruising Vaglink and happened on this, under the 'Universals and Accessories' section. Don't know if it's any help to you guys?

Vaglink
Those are a bit dodgy as they completely lock you out of the CCM for good once you've used it. There are also a few horror stories where they completely fried peoples CCMs

Don't mean to hijack, but wanted to ask what the CCM is?
Like the idea of the auto-closing windows but don't want to damage my car

Hi there,
I bought one of these last week -
http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?p ... t=2&page=1
It works perfectly, it's dead easy to fit,, and you can still use the 6 CD changer. I know it's a bit pricey, but it charges your ipod and you can control the ipod from the main radio unit. I wired mine so I could plug my phone in and use the tomtom app. But I assume you could just as easily wire it into the glovebox.
Hope this helps!

Whoops. Sorry guys, had no idea about that... thanks for the heads up Ash.
I've got an Xcarlink in my car as well. Pretty easy to fit and well worth the money.
