To cut a long story short, hit black ice today and resulted in a bashed up bumper, nothing more than a paint job as the bumper can be repaired

All that I can say is that I am turely pee'd off, not seen the true extent of the damage but it looks like i'll be needing a new arch lining and while am there I suppose I could order myself the gti rear bumper.. :)

But does anyone know where I can source genuine parts without having to go direct to vw? Or pay a massive postage cost from germany?

Many thanks,
Best Regards Ed

Sorry to hear you have had a prang. The only thing I can think of is do you know any friendly bodyshops who might be able to help? I am not experienced in this as I normally leave this up to the insurance co to sort this out.

From what I can see without removing any parts the bumper can be repaired, claiming my insurance was not an option, as I am a new driver my excess is £500 smackers which is alot more than what it is going to cost to fix this little mishap

On a plus side I do know a local company that would sort any problem I had taking a few pennies off :D
