Anyone got a Polo GTI on order and in that annoying 20 week limbo? I ordered on the 30th November and can't wait! 3Dr, Metallic Black, Bi-Xenon and Multi-Funtion wheel!

ive heard about the waits, but if you spec one up at all... like you have... your in for a wait... i went to test drive and spec one and i was told April.. this was a few weeks ago....


if i wanted a standard one... i couldve picked up the week after lol

I ordered a 1.2 TSI in October (with a lot of options) and was told it would take at least 3 months for delivery, I recently called them and was given a build date of week 6, and was told it should be at the garage around the end of march, that's a good 5-6 month wait!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how long it takes to order an optioned up car from another manufacturer? I wonder if there is a long delay for all new cars...

I had a long wait for mine. Ordered my black GTI in early June and it arrived mid Nov earlier than the dealer was expecting as they said mid Dec. You never know it might turn up early. Mine had a few extras Convenience pack, winter pack, MFSW and RCD510.

It's quite common at the minute, most manufacturers aren't building cars to have them sitting in storage, all cash flow related i suppose. I sell *cough* Honda *cough* and anything out of the ordinary is also usually quite a wait, some were also 20 weeks/5 months for quite some time.

Thanks for the welcome all! Your car looks fantastic, I would have loved grey but seeing a few black's I think I've made the right choice! Sort of kicking myself for not fitting the heated seats but will definatly retro-fit an RCD520 with a Fiscon Phone kit.

I do have the oppertunity of checking my delivery date at almost anytime, I work next door to my VW Garage and my brother is a salesman in there also! I don't mind as long as it's here for June time, I still have to get rid of my Lupo also.

YouTube and the forums will just have to keep me entertained in the meantime!

I like the Grey too. If VW had have offered the Polo in Carbon Grey like the Golf GTI I would have ordered that but I am very pleased with the Deep Black Pearl. Ref the Winter pack and RCD510 you should be able to amend your order at anytime up to point when you get a confirmed build week and then after that you only risk putting back your order.

Meant to add that this is what my dealer told me so might be worth asking?

I've been waiting a while for mine.

I ordered a Black Gti with RCD510, DAB and MFSW on 18th August and its down for build week 6.

If it turns up in March that'll mean a 7 month wait!

I cannot describe how jealous I am with some of you guys already having yours already.

I couldn't wait so had the showroom one lol only had winter pack but loving it .well worth the wait
