hi all,thought i`d join up as i`ve recently bought a 9n 1.9 tdi sport,i`m happy with but there are just a couple of niggles to sort out ie...`usual` clunking from the front suspension,and an erratic fuel gauge,which until tonight,i was`nt sure if it was just me seeing things,but on my way home earlier,having started off with half a tank,the gauge dropped into the red zone and the fuel light/beep came on and then went back to half a tank,and shortly after the same thing happened again. does anyone know if this is a common fault/has this happened to anyone else? i should add that my total distance travelled was only 7 miles.
also,could anyone talk me through (in simple terms ),how to post up pics and i`ll get some pics on if i can.

Can't help with the fuel gauge as I have an incredibly basic knowledge of how it works, but maybe a faulty sender unit or something? Wouldn't think that it is a problem with the dash itself if it's only an intermittent fault. I'm sure someone with a bit more knowledge will come along and help you out though.
