Hi was just wondering what is the best way to refurb my 6n2 wheels.

The hub caps are fine its just the wheel itself, it aint a nice black any more its a brownish.

I was think about
  • Cleaning with Wire Brush
    Then primer
Next high temperature paint (Prob Black)
    Then clear lacquer
Any one know if this will work ?

Or has any one got any better ideas ?

Steel wheels I pressume

Look in yellow pages and find a local "blasting company" - shot blast shouldn't cost you more than £30 for four wheels and it's cost you more than that in terms of time and effort to do it youself IMO - many "blasting companies do coatings too and to get mine blasted and powder coated in any colour costs me approx £100 for 4 alloys - much easier and you get a nice hard wearing finish that lasts years longer than a wet paint finish

Only additional cost is removing the tyres and refitting

i suggest you get a body shop to paint them.
i take it you will be using aersol cans and will not last long and wont give a nice shine
