Hi Guys,

How often are you suppost to do the cambelt on a Polo 1.6 gti?

Every 4 years / 40,000miles.

40,000 is about right like Emma said but you should get the tensioners changed every 60K too.
I found out the hard way and had a hefty £500 bill from VW for my troubles

I had it done when at 100,000 miles so thats quite handy really. Ill prob get it done around 135k to be on the safe side.

135 will be fine mate, 40K is already being precautionary so you can’t go wrong really.
