Looks good mate, nicest silver Polo i've seen in a while. Colour coding everything makes such a huge difference, particularly the lower parts of the bumpers as it saves fitting a bodykit and still looks great! I've got a 1.2E as well.....done a few similar mods like you..... tints, new wheels, 9n3 rear lights etc.....have bought the Votex roof spoiler just having if sprayed up and fitting in about2 weeks! got a few questions if you dont mind! TT comps look great btw.

How much did it cost to convert windows to electric and add central (remote) locking? two biggest things in my hit list to do!
How much was the GTi suspension? Did you replace the bushes + shocks too?
Which angel eyes are those, the FKs?

Cheers man, looking awesome!

thanks mate :D

my dad knew a mechanic/ electrician that did it, but we got the electric window kit off ebay haha. but apparently it can be quite difficult installing these electronics on a polo E model, as it doesnt have something called a comfort/convenience system that the higher models have, and all the wiring and electronics go through this, it took the electrician months to figure out a way to get around this, and he's a vw qualified electrician, he ended up having to strip the doors of a higher model polo with electric windows already fitted. basically a lot of hassle haha. but I think it cost us about £200 not including labour, bit pricey ayy.

and for the central locking, it required a universal central locking kit, which the electrician used bits and bobs of.

but a lot of extra wiring and relays are required.

and the GTi suspension cost: £95, it wasnt new but we found someone that was fitting coilovers to there 9n3 GTi so we managed to get it for that cheap... they had only done 10,000 miles. havent changed the bushes, but the suspension came with the shocks.

and i dont think the angel eyes are branded, once again ebay :'D they cost £120 brand new, and the nightbreakers were £15.

Cheers mate, sorry to hi-jack your thread lol! Car looks so unrecogniseable to how you got it!

Reallllly want to get the remote central locking sorted, not too worried about the price, assuming its not ridiculous lol. Seems like you've got a pretty sweet deal with the mechanic/electrician contacts you have!!

Check out my buildthread http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... =8&t=50882, you can see, I wanna get colour coded, locking, windows + angel eyes then im done! Polished comps make such a huge difference, they 17"? Sit really well on GTi suspension! Is that 50mm lower?

GTI springs are -15mm. Also, a little known fact: the same springs are used on the Sport 1.4 and 1.9 TDIs.

Ash :)

Car looks awesome are the rear lights a straight swap?

Rear lights are easy to do takes 5 minutes just unscrew a bolt and unclip the loom then lift out (upward direction) however the wiring config differs between a 9n and a 9n3 so you need to either rewire the connectors (fiddly job and you need to know what you're doing) or contact K.I.T.T. (above) as he sells kits that are adapters for 9n3/9n rear lights cluster fitting. Definitely worth it in my opinion!

Great project there, bringing that battered 9n back to life where many would have scrapped it and then modding it right afterwards. What a transformation!
