Pick yer brains...

Evenin' all!

Long story short - I might well be looking down the business end of a total loss claim on mt A3 20VT after someone arse ended me the other day. Anyway, having previously owned a mk3 CL breadvan and a GT coupe I thought I might return to the polo fold! I've decided on a 9n TDi, 1.9 sport being as the GT TDi's are £1500 more exoensive. The plan was to change the mapping, turbo, manifold, injectors etc. to effectively end up with a GT powered Sport. But then I got to thinking that if I'm forking out for new turbos and bits, I may as well upgrade and go for a hybrid turbo and ported manifold and so on.
My question is, which turbo/injectors does the GT use? Just so I can get an idea of cost...

Cheers!

The gt is a pd 130. What power do you want?

Different bits I know from sport n gt ( I have gt n missues has sport) are as follows

turbo intake pipe
turbo
clips to hold on intercooler
intercooler
inlet manifold
piston, conrods (posible crankshaft too not sure on that)
exhaust
injectors

There are other bits but these are the main pieces. Injectors are not cheap the £1500 extra is worth it to have stronger engine if you want more than 200hp reliably really.

Cheers, for that. Exactly the sort of list I was after. TBH I'd be happy asround the 200 mark (not planning on changing valves and springs and so on!), and gettting there with a GT would involve changeing turbos etc. anyway to I may as well use the £1500 I save on buying it...
I'd imagine that the block is the same in both the GT and the Sport?
