Engine Problems. (VAGCOM codes inside)

Hello,
Having a few troubles with my 6n2 1.4 16v 75bhp.
Plugged it into VAGCOM and I'm getting these error codes stored,
P1553
Barometric/manifold pressure signal ratio out of range
P1158
Manifold Abs.Pressure Sensor Circ. Range/Performance
Whilst the codes were stored the car was running slightly hesitant and didnt respond very well.
I cleared the codes and the car started to run fine, until it randomly cut out and the check and EPC lights came on again.
Looking at the code descriptions I'm thinking some sort of problem with the Cat or lambda sensors, which is causing the car to run in limp mode or just badly
Anyone have any ideas?
