Air Filters

Looking for An Air Filter Any1 recommend any thing?
just after a panel filter,
im running a 9n 1.4 ? ? seen some for 1.8s but guess that'll do?

Don't think so as the 1.8 is turbo so is a differnt air box to urs I think

dude can i ask why you want a filter? they dont really give bhp gains in some cases you lose some bhp due to the heat soak i would upgrade the panel filter. unless you just want noise which is understandable

looking at the panel cause i dont wanna have to take the engine cover out so unless you know how to fit the cone filter and keep the engine cover in ??

No idea if BMC make a filter for the 9n, but if they do that'd be the one I'd recommend. They don't come cheap though!

They also do a CDA (carbon dynamic airbox IIRC) which is an enclosed cone filter with a cold air feed. They do them for the 6n/6n2 but charge over £100...

mate just change the panel honeslty i cant justify changing to an enclosed induction kit or open filter induction kit unless you want noice the bhp gains dont justify £100+++ the standard air box is designed to work well with the car you may even lose bhp with an open filter but gain a couple with an enclosed with a good air feed...

agree with what you say but i think just the panel should be changed i think the engine should be left standard as its not really a tuneable engine but i would like the cda just for the sound but it is expensive...
