200 bhp on standard internals?

I can't see a problem in getting a PD100 up to 200 bhp, but can the internals and 'box take it (and reliably?)

Torque kills parts, not bhp. I know of PD100s with stock internals pushing close to 300bhp...

True, but I have no idea how much torque a 200bhp PD100 makes so I reckoned it was easier to use bhp. Anyway, if they can take 300 plus the associated torque then thats all I need to know! To the workshop!

clutch turbo and injectors will defo need replacing, not sure if the 100 has a SMIC iether if it hasnt it will need one

Clutch, turbo, manifolds, exhaust, FMIC, remap...

The list goes on! I'm confident I can get it to make 200 without much trouble, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have to bend a rod or start having to look at forged items.

ALL TDIs have a SMIC. And you'll need a FMIC for anything over 170bhp.

An FMIC makes good sense on any forced induction engine, If only to help economy
