There are a couple of lads on here running De-cats but you will neeed to have a custom made exhaust system to be running a full de-cat system. There are no de-cat pipes available off the shelf so it would have to be a custom built jobby.

Should release a few extra bhp but your probably better off going for a 200 cell sports Cat which are road legal

Ite fella, I run a decat system on my gti with a 4-2-1 raceland manifold aswell it's the way forward having a system made and won't cost that much either but it will be very raspy and loud but I love it, check my build thread mate you'l see mine then...

I have one on mine, paid £60 for it, staight through pipe with flanges to remove if needed, custom made with a spout for the lambda sensor to screw in, engine light comes on on long motorway journeys and throws up the code saying the cat is damaged. LOL

Have an onboard computer to turn it off within seconds of it coming on

Its called a scanguage and looks like this:

As soon as the light comes on, you can search the scanguage for trouble codes and erase them straight away. (whilst driving, just ease up on the accelerator when pressing accept to clear code)

They are about £100 on ebay at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCANGAUGE-OBD-II- ... 524wt_1134

I paid about £150 for mine when i first got it 2 years ago.

It does a lot of other things too apart from just trouble codes:

Best investment i have made for the polo if i'm honest :)
