How do you reset the butterfly afterwards?
The throttle seems to stick momentarly when it's fully open, I've got no experience of the pd engines but even so, I'm assuming this isn't normal?!

Diesels don't have throttle bodies
I'd check it over with VAGCOM for fault codes first.

Every day's a school day! They must have some sort of valve (butterfly or otherwise) to control air flow though?

The bit u see is the anti shudder valve a diesel reving is controlled by the fuel rather than the air. I have removed mine so I have no valve.

How does that affect running? I assume it improves it else you wouldn't have done it, unless of course you're just a little bit mental...

Allows smoother air flow.
