Hi,
Wonder if somebody can help me. I've just re-fitted my standard shifter, after removing my B&M short shifter.
It looks like I'm missing a part which holds the spring in place, just wanted some body to confirm, if im not missing a bit how does the spring fit?

The lower side of the spring goes underneath the leaver to the left of it, the upper side on top I think. Its been a while since I fitted mine though so I cant be 100%

Cheers Alex. I can see how it fits over the leaver, what I'm unsure of is what stops it moving back, and out of place.

It might be the other way around though...I think they cross for tension

I'll go and try. it would be unlike me to loose a part. I'm normally pretty careful. Had a look in the Haynes manual but its a very grainy photo.

I've discovered I'm missing abit. Found the B&M instructions online and discovered this part
Does anybody have access to VAGCAT? could they look up a part number for me? I can't seem to register at the mo.

No Idea

I took out that shifter about 5 years ago when i fitted the B&M.
Could be anywhere, it'll be easier to buy a new bit.
