Hi All
Been looking at my Polo 2002 manual also been looking through my 'Haynes' but there is nothing in either of them about a little 'spanner' that shows up on the 'mileometer' window for apporx 2 seconds. Is it to do with servicing of the car. Its just it is not mentioned in either book!! Also......could you recommend a decent oil to use in the engine, its done about 40000 also brake pads.......doing a first service on the little car!!!

Yeh spanner tool is to indicate that your car is due service. It would usually come up during each initial startup with a 'beep' like sound.

Poloz.....tks for confirmation mate. No sound though....not worried about that!!
