Hi all, thought it was about time I put up a new build thread for the new weapon of choice
So I have sold my Polo GTi to raise some funds for our wedding and bought this to play around with, a 2005 05 Impreza WRX PPP in WR blue, the car is on just 33k miles and in almost faultless condition throughout,
Before me purchasing it, it came with only 2 modifications, a larger, P1 style adjustable rear spoiler and the prodrive performance pack (PPP), taking it to 265 BHP with a revised ecu and better brake pads, now however, it sports a k&n panel filter and a Milltek cat back exhaust non resonated, I also have a forge twin piston dv, larger STI intercooler, STI undertray and larger STI scoop on their way too,
Plans for the car are a simple tidy up and to either refurbish or replace the wheels
I love the car, it's still very tight and goes and drives great, here's a couple if pics
Thanks
Jeff

Very nice. How does it compare to the polo? Big lugs of power instead of the precision your polo?
And 4wd!

From a standing star the scoob would leave the polo for dead with it's staggering 4wd grip, though from low revs the polo is waaaay more boost happy and would murder the scoob, it's a case of 2 very different cars , polo is hands down more fun to drive but the scoob feels more grown up being bigger etc, polo is throwable and loves abuse, the scoob is plenty capable and hugely practical
Fitted the forge BOV today and debugged the boot, looks better again now

thats a very clean looking unabused example - well done!
i had an older MY97 scoob and the best mod's i would recommend was the 3" turbo back exhaust system (Revolution in Newcastle used to have the best prices) as this just totally changes the car and from what i can recall makes about the same difference to a scoob as the stage 1 Revo does to Polo GTI, just makes the car rev and be alot more responsive.
the next best mod was fitting tarox brake discs & pagid fast road pads with blue racing fluid but again all of these totally transformed the car in my opinion.

This looks awesome! Excellent choice of replacement for the GTi. Always had a bit of a soft spot for these... rear indicators could do with detangoing though?

Well observed? It's a Subaru...
