Hi Guys, I'm selling my lovely Polo GTI after two years of daily use to work and back. It's been a great car (I'm a VW Enthusiast NOT a boy racer and have owned two Polo GTI's and many golfs) but after recently moving to London, I've started using public transport and can no longer justify keeping and running a car.

If you're looking at this then you probably know how sought after these are. there was only 3000 of these made in 3 colours (red, black and silver). This is a great example that's nippy enough around town but still remains good on petrol. Its Taxed until the end of May and HAS 12 MONTHS MOT

The following work has been done:

It had a FULL Inspection service at 101k miles costing nearly £500.00 in December 2010, including all oil and filters, new brake pads all round and a new wishbone.

At 75k it had a new cambelt, water pump and tensioners (done by VW Specialist: Colin Gunning of Hertford at a cost of £340)

The same specialist also fitted a new SACHS clutch and cable last summer (2010)

In November 2010 it had a reconditioned gearbox fitted by a specialist in Dartford, Kent, at a cost of £600 (still has
6 months warranty left)

In March I fitted a new set of HT Leads and replaced the two front sidelights with brighter one's as one had blown and wanted the set to match.

No expense has been spared on this car. As I said before I'm an enthusiast (currently restoring a 69 beetle) and have always used the best quality parts and garage services where possible. It was my daily for 2 years and has never missed a beat.

The following features really make the GTI stand out as a great little hot hatch:

- It has BBS Alloys.
- 125bhp 1.6 16v engine.
- Xenon headlights which are great for night driving.
- Leather steering wheel and GTI trimmed gear knob.
- Sony CD/Radio with mp3/ipod input
- Climatronic Climate Control/Aircon
- Disc brakes all round.

There a two minor faults that I know of - both are quite common on the GTI and polo mk5 in general.

1) Both the driver and passenger window regulators could do with replacing and the windows struggle a little when closing. these cost around £40-£50 to replace but i have never bothered as the car has Air Con anyway. (every Polo GTI I have seen has had this issue)

2) The temperature sensor occasionally gives the gauge on the dash an inaccurate reading. I think this is a loose connection on the sensor as the fault goes away when moving the sensor connection under the bonnet. Again this is very cheap to replace but i have not got round to it yet.

The paintwork is generally in very good condition for a car that's 11 years old but there are a couple of stone chips on the bonnet from the previous owner and a few small scuffs on the rear bumper (see pics)

I think that's about everything. I'm sad to see this go but I just cant afford to keep it and not use it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me: [email protected] or call me on 07944 888 011

I live in East London but the car is at my parents house in Harlow Essex so will need to arrange viewings evenings or weekends.

£1600 o.n.o

Thanks
Gareth
