Gearbox gone help anyone:(

Lost fourth gear today on way to work is there any recomendations on were to get gearbox from?? Would it be better to recon mine or just buy another i refuse to let her go mates want me to strip it but its not gona happen any good places up north round huddersfield, leeds, manchester way

I would recon your own mate, strengthen your own and if you google gearbox repairs in your area I'm sure there will be some around matey..... £300-400 quid tho I think...

speak to Mark at Independent VW on Manchester Road mate. I was talking to him about 'boxes a couple of weeks ago. He's sound and won't rip you off. 01484655444 hd4 5bw.

Yes mate sorry bout late reply had it sat in garage for 3 weeks was in two minds whether to Sell for parts or keep her decided would be best to keep it as im not done with her yet
