Was looking to get a Revo remap on my Pd100 engine and was just wondering if the standard clutch will handle the power increase?
The Revo website says the increases will be:
bhp increased from 100 to 145
Torque increased from 175 to 225
Anyone on here got a Revo remap?

It really depends on the history of the car and your driving style. A safe map on the pd100 sports are 140-145 bhp. My mate had one PD100 sport and mapped to 150BHP with 256 ft lb and always loved to take his car to the edge and a weekend night of street races

only saw his clutch lasting over a year. As the next owner had to change the clutch 2 months after buying his car.
The standard clutch will be able to take the power figures you've posted no problem but imho its how you treat it after because once you've discovered the new found power delivery you'll see a change in your driving style

Get rid of your cat then get a custom mAp (I recomend r-tech) this way you can keep the egt down and make a nicer power curve than the copy and paste revo stuff. Oh and nick will charge less for a custom than what revo will do your stage one map.

But if I do have any problems then its quite a distance to travel to get them sorted.

Nick checks car is ready for a map anyway and won't charge until your happy. I have got extra 100hp from mine n it's fine. The pd 100 is gd for 230hp. The 130 is gd for 300hp (that what I'm aiming for)

My brothers car was remapped by revo and his was a polo 9n pd100 just like yours, stock 100bhp and after was pushing 145bhp, not quite sure on the torque but mate it is flipping quick. Hes selling it as standard now as he wants more power not from this car.
I would definatly get it remapped because the 145bhp in the little polo 9n is like a pocket rocket. His was on kw v1 coilovers and handled like a dream with the remap, then he wanted more lows so wacked it on fk highsports and still handled amazingly but now wants more power in the region of 300+
My view....do it!!! now!!!
