Worth advertising?

Hey guys, got a manual MK4 Polo, red. Was my first car, amazing runner and as you'll know super reliable. She just failled her MOT though on body work and needs some welding but I'm gonna put the money instead towards a new car. It just breaks my heart though knowing that the Polo is going to be scrapped when everything else about the car is solid and knowing I'll get £100 for her and the parts will then be sold on for much more than that!

Just wondered if it was worth advertising it, if you think anyone would be interested in a Polo for spares or repair?

Cheers guys...

What engine and year is it mate ?. That way we can state what polo it actually is, And the model i.e. Is it a GTI, TDI, SE, S or an E ?.

If it's an xreg I.e. 2000 or newer and a GTI TDI or an SE I'd say it was worth breaking if you don't mind taking time dismantling and packaging bits off, for the larger parts you can state collection only

Also state exactly what repairs need doing as someone may be prepared to but the car as a whole if it's minor (a lot of people here work on cars or can do the work needed to make it pass it's mot and sell it on as an investment)

Also worth stating any optional extras you may have (fogs, electric windows, clima control, alloy wheels... Etc)

Is also advertise on eBay, this site, club polo and edition38 forums and be reasonable with your prices,

It's a shame when things like this happen !. Our pride and joys become victim to time and eventually have to go.

Argh! Should've posted earlier! Nevermind, the MOT had gone and TAX was coming to an end, had to get rid! Would much rather have sold it to someone who could give it a new lease of life mind!

How hard is it to buy a car now mind!? I spoke to a guy yesterday, very interested in his car. Drove 40 miles to get it, got there, wouldn't answer his phone and then told me he'd sold it! FRUSTRATING! I told him I wanted it!
