FK Coilover Owners please read

I've just put the standard suspension back on my car and taken off my FK highsport Coilovers.
All but one of the adjuster rings we're so badly corroded they simply fell apart. I'm guessing this is some kind of electrolysis corrosion effect where the aluminium is in contact with steel.
Please if you have these coilvers please check your adjuster rings for any cracks or corrosion. I dread to thing what would of happened if one of the coilovers had collapsed. My FK's where about 6 years old, so this may have been sorted on newer versions.
Maybe worth passing this on to other parts of the forum.
