Thought I would write up about a recent problem ive had incase anyone suffers the same. I started to get a metal clanging sound at the front of the car whilst on low revs. It would also make the noise going over bumps and this led me to believe it was suspension. Although I had new bushes a week ago and when we checked all the parts at the front the car was fine.

Popped into an exhaust place as I thought it maybe a bracket but it turned out that the heat shield under the plastic engine cover was resting on the driveshaft causing this metal knocking and clattering sound at low revs!

Just thought I would throw that one out there to save people some time and money if they have the trouble!

In addition to that problem I also had an incorrectly fitted brake pad that had a spring snapped on the back of it! This was also vibrating and causing a bad metal knocking noise! All sorted now though
