Hello all!

Just signed up to the forum and thought i'd introduce myself and my polo :). I've had my Polo for around 3-4 weeks now and loving it! abit of a newb when it comes to VW's so i'll apologize in adavance for that, i came from the JDM scene, had a civic EG and an Mazda rx-8 and many other terrible cars! lol, i sold the RX-8 due to poor, ummm everything on economy! And ending up buying a VW bora 115 tdi SE which was pretty high spec and unfortuantly high mileage, so i ended up selling that and fancied a smaller car again, so i had a look around on the internet and came across a few 6n2's and bought one, found one.

It has full FSH a years mot and a few months tax, totally standard apart from red painted calipers (however im not sure if thats standard or not) and it came with a set of roof racks, the only thing i've done to it is put my stubby aerial off of my bora on it, and had to buy an aerial base gasket, which i fitted today.
Plans for it so far are:
Team heko wind deflectors
Hidden s/s catback exhaust, or a non hidden, not totally sure yet.
BMC panel filter
Greenstuff pads.

The only thing that is annoying me about it, if someone can help me is, the headlights have a sort of rough texture and look frosted instead of clear, if that makes any sense at all, my bora had the same aswell and have no idea on how to get it back to normal, i tried using a clay bar and quick detailer today when i washed the car, but nothing really happened.

Anyway i'll upload some pictures, there not very good, because i had the camera set up wrong and didnt realise till i finished also wasnt in a very good location (excuses!) :( so i'll get some better ones tomorrow!

Good choice of cars there!

I had the same issue with my headlights - I found wetsanding them made a big difference. (Results of my work here: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/196614 ... enovation/, although google will show many more threads).

How do you find the Polo compares to the RX-8? Personally I find it more fun (but less capable), a lot louder and a lot more uncomfy - but I still love it!

Welcome along dude, as said before wet sanding and then some machine polishing should bring them back to best.
