Hello all,

Still loving my Polo GTI but i have a little problem with the key. This morning it decided to fail, the car would not unlock and now a solid red light is on the key. I have tried changing the battery and the light flashes when i press unlock but the car doesnt unlock, the light then goes to a solid red light again. Any ideas??

Might need pairing up again mate. Not too sure on how to do this though

Vw is the only way... think it's like £70 occasionally transponders do loose their coding it's a pain in the ass as no one is really sure why.

Or if it's staring the car and not locking/unlocking there is a sequence to code it il see if I can find it out again... Try lupo forums aswell as

Do a quick search on the forums, I remember seeing a procedure on here that involved you putting the key in the door barrel and pairing it somehow. Or, just PM alex ;P

Sounds like the micro switch is sticking mine used to do it so I got a flip key instead lol

Yeah you can pair it with your car again, try a search, something will pop up on a how to....

It tells you how to re-pair a key in the owners manual
