My VW-log

Ok here is my over-waited thread,
this is my baby,
a lifetime's work, in progress:
She's a 54 plate Polo Basic (from what i can remember) 3 door.
To explain the blue wing mirrors, they are 9N3's bought from a write-off because my passenger side one had been knocked off in an overnight-drive-by, i also have a dent from this along the door/rear wing... bastard who did that, i will find you!

basically just going to put up with the slightly chavy colour coding for a few years until i a decided on what colour she is going to be
I am intending to take as much time with 'Mod'. though this is way a head in the future lol but i am eventually having this converted; 1.8T or 2.0T simply because i am mentally ambitious, or just both.
Purchased & On:
-9N3 Rear clusters
-9N3 Wing Mirrors
-Armrest
Purchased & Awaiting fixture
-Full Votex kit
-16" Monty II's (will be temporary)
-LED Side repeaters (wire to be spliced to repeater & wing-mirror)
-Front Fog Lights
...erm cant remember anything else, though there is plenty to do
any opinions or ideas guys
Thanks,
Chris [:

hope all goes well with your project,
a 9n with a 1.8t would just be scary good luck!

Cheers guys,
im liking the ideas
I think the Monty's will have to be next tho, ive been hunting down tyre info from different places. Also im not too keen on the rear valance of the Votex for some reason.
May have to put that up in the Classifieds if someone's interested, its primed nd ready, never been used

I may be interested in the Votex rear valance in a few weeks. I regret that I ever sold my brand new (full) kit earlier this year. I need to hunt down the individual bits again.

IMO Montys are the best wheels for the 9n.

Wow, just checked the link wasnt expecting to see a price like that!
suppose its gonna have to be second hand ones, how much mileage are you expected to get out of them?
you're taking them off, and then going back to standard?

Here are some pics of her before i started tinkering, she is as basic as they come here. This was June ish the week after the LeMans 24 hour race went straight up to Leeds to a mates uni and from there t'lakes (as the locals say

)
i'm most probably gonna be doing a yearly post of the same places with the progress logged each year.

Olympic blue. Will try and get a paintcode - my best friend bought a Polo (after seeing mine

) in this colour. I'll ask him.
