Having taken a look over a number of different sites - ebay, autotrader, gumtree etc - I have found that the prices really vary! A good example is getting rare now also - just needed some guidance as to how much I should sell my pride and joy for? The spec is as follows;

2000 'W' reg Polo Gti 3 door
Silver
122k with FULL SERVICE HISTORY - majority motorway miles (Last full service carried out by VW specialist using genuine VW parts 2 weeks ago!)
Folder full of receipts, invoices and MOT's!

RECONDITIONED GEARBOX FITTED two weeks ago form 1st gear in Dartford - £495! with 12 months warranty!!
Front grooved and drilled brakes done last month
K&N Air intake
Front part of exhaust / Cat replaced last month too!
BBS Wheels in Very good condition with very little corrosion
VW Gamma sound system
Sub will be coming out of car but all wiring will be left!
All usual GTI extras - I wont bore you - you know the score!

I though around the £1400 mark but im not sure? any advice would be helpful!

If your not in a huge hurry to sell put it up for about £1800?

Hard to give a true price without seeing the car.

As Chris said above its hard to give a price based on the above without pictures but it sounds like the car has alot of things going for it with the new box, recent service and full service history.

I would price it at £1800 and see how you get on

I would pay £1800 for it. £2k if it had 85k on the clocks. But a car is only worth what someone wants to spend. Too many people want a bargain and take the pi$$

Yes i agree £1800 would be about right in normal circs - car is in very good overall condition although not spotless show worthy condition - hence i think £1400 is about right and a fair price too
