Hi everyone,
I'll start by introducing myself and my Polo and to start a build thread with a few pictures from when I got it leading up to now.
So I'm Luke from Plymouth in Devon always liked VWs but never known of the forums untill I bought this polo and the owner told me to check out club polo so I've been on there and my local forum (SWDubs) for a couple of months now and thought I'd give this 1 a try :-)
Here's a few pics from the ad I spotted...

I was happy driving it for a few weeks then I started to change things slowly as my funds are are low due to work being slow.

Here's a few things I've done over the months,

First couple bits through the post was black indicators and VW boot badge, I took the rear wiper off aswell...

My birthday come round and parents decided to get me a private reg (after a bit of nagging lol)

I then ordered myself a few bits from eBay and VW...

New mudflaps because the old ones was bodged on and didn't fit well...
Image
A new front splitter as the old one was cracked...
Image

Next I decided to smoke my rear lights...

Here's a before and after on the car

And for those who noticed my rear GTI badge isn't there and it's still dirty, it's because I broke the G when taking it off to spray but new badge is here and paint is drying now so will be on soon.

That's all for now but should be updating again over the next few days as my badges will be dry and my coilovers should be here next week :-D

All comments welcome :-)

Yeah they look smart mate

I noticed your original GTI badge was off a MK4 Golf because it didnt have the red "I"

Did the new one you buy have the Red "I" ?

I did think that cos when I bought it the red I on both front and back was stuck on with red detailing tape :-/ same as the grill.

Yeh the new 1 I bought did have the red I yes mate but just not genuine VW cos didn't see the point in spendin £15-20 when was only gonna rub down and paint it lol

A week or so has passed and suspension has turned up :-D
Thanks to the lovely weather this week I've been rained off at work pretty much everyday, yesterday I had enough time to fit the coilovers :-p
I didn't get many pics during as I completely forgot and just cracked on with it...

The front wheels was out of line really bad but was running out if light so give up for the evening,
Next day after trying a few places no1 could straighten out the camber so come home had a crack myself and is so much better now.

Just need to go and get 4 wheel alignment all sorted just to check it's all good :-)

Will have more updates and more pictures soon as the wheels are straight :-) then I'm gonna start looking for some G60 winter wheels.

Rear spacers would be a good edition.
