All you boys who slam your GTIs to the ground, how do you get your front wheels lined back up straight and parallel??
I've been to few places and spoke to a few ppl about it and they seem to think it can't be done! :-/
The springs aint even all the way down either :-/

I would get it booked in somewhere for full 4 wheel alignment. They can be adjusted but not a huge amount so depending on how low you are is to how correct the garage will be able to set the camber too.

Yeh that's first on the list to do 2moro

Got recommended few local places which should do 4 wheel alignment.

There is a small amount of front camber adjustment. If you undo 3 bolts each side you will be able to slide the whole strut in and out a little. Hard to explain without pictures but im sure you will see what I mean. If this is not enough you will have to undo the 2 strut bolts and yank the whole strut bottom inwards and top out to try and bring the top of the wheel inwards and reduce negative camber. To then get the correct amount (same) camber each side use the small adjustment again. I think they should be about 0.1 - 0.5 negative each side. Thats what mine is at the moment.
Hope this makes sense dude. Its easier when you have a look and see what i mean.

Ok sweet! Ta bud I'll have a look see 2moro as I'm now out of light lol
I've loosened the strut to hub bolts and pulled out as much as I can and it is sooo much better now, just mite check the 3 bolts you've mentioned then look at the tracking cos they look slightly out since ive straightened the camber.

No worries dude,
The camber and tracking will become more out of line as the car is lowered more, So every time you fiddle with it, its all out of alignment again
But yeah re do the tracking once your happy with the height and camber adjustment

Yeh I noticed that bud lol
It won't be goin any lower just yet as I need to get the front arches rolled to save any scuffing, and while the coilovers aren't settled yet when it's jacked up there's slack in the springs wound all the way down (believe it's MOT failure when car is raised?) so I just wound them up to take the slack and I'll look at it in a week or so see if can go lower

Next week or 2 will be playing around setting it up right

How lows yours mate?
