Mk6 1.4 16v Polo sport

Hi i have just bought a polo 1.4 sport is it true that they come 40mm lowered as standard ? this is what it currently looks like.

i have a polo 1.4 twist and mine standard looked the same height.. i might imagine the suspension being stiffer or more sports based but it looks like the same arch gap.. i got rid of all my arch gap now though XD
