Clutch/Clutch cable issues

Right guys looking for some help! Please bear with me as I'm not technical in anyway, ha!
So, my clutch cable snapped whilst driving a couple of weeks ago (a week after buying the car!). I had a new one put in and adjusted, so it was at the perfect biting point for me. I drove it about 4 miles, popped into Asda, was driving the 4 miles back and the clutch went really stiff under my foot (as it was before it snapped) and eventually I couldn't engage in any gear. I had the car trailered home and it had a good seeing to. The clutch cable was adjusted (along with 30 other faults) again, as apparently the bolts hadn't been locked properly.
It's hard to explain but I usually rest my heel on the floor and just bend my foot up and down when pulling away rather than moving my whole foot? Anyway, I asked my dad to adjust the clutch cable for me, as I just couldn't drive it with it where it was (having to move my whole foot). It turns out he could turn the bolts by hand as well. I've been assured that both times the bolts have been adjusted and locked with spanners! So, he adjusted the cable yet again to where I wanted it. I drove it...and the same thing is beginning to happen. The biting point has moved again and it's becoming harder to change gears...
Is there anyway the bolts are becoming loose everytime I drive it, causing the biting point to keep moving? Is there any reason for this? Or is it the clutch that's on the way out? I just don't understand >:|
Thanks,
B
