Had my gearbox reconed in july

Now over the last couple of days when you start the car there are whining noise i thought it was clutch release bearing as it stopped when u put clutch down however just thrown in a sach clutch and its still there

Now on my way home the car started making a loud!! Clicking noise but stops when you press clutch however all gears are going in fine anyone had this problem before ive searched the forum but no luck

Heres my guesses

1. My maybe who fitted gearbox after getting it reconed didnt put in enough gbox oil?? He put in 2 litres

2. The driveshaft???

Suggestions most welcome (other than get rid)

HEEEEELLLPPP!!!!! :(

if theres a whine with the clutch in then its the release bearing, if its there when the clutch is out then its the input shaft bearing.

would be worth topping up the oil for sure then see how it goes.

Ok, if it has the correct gearbox the filler plug is a 17mm socket head plug on the front face of the box. Get abit of hose pipe and top the oil up till it runs out the filling hole. 2 litres originally wouldn't have been enough, need 2.7 litres from memory
