Running Aftermarket ECU

I'm needing to run an Emerald ECU for a little project on my 6n2 gti. However, I recognise that as it will not plug into any of the 'modules' within the car, how will ABS, remote central locking and more or less everything else in the car work?

I pressume it will have to be programmed into the ECU, probably best asking a few of the lads on Club Lupo because there are a lot of them running superchargers on there. There isnt anybody with a heavily modified 1.6 GTI on here

I was wondering this too.
Would the standard ECU not be able to run them on its own?
Although, would the car start unless the aftermarket ECU passed altered signals back to the standard ECU to trick it into running?

Good idea, I'll check out Club Lupo. Also will help that they're running superchargers on the same engine.. tehehehe

All the guys & gals I have seen with charged Lupo's have aftermarket ECU's so there must be a genuine reason why the standard ECU is not suitable.
I have also seen Lupo GTI's running throttle bodies which again have an aftermarket ECU
Club Lupo is your best bet for those kind of questions

Most of them change to cable throttles - which I don't think the Polo ECU supports.
It's also not mapable via the OBD port, and I think the EEPROM has to be removed for each map, which would be tedious when a whole new setup, plus theres limits on what parameters can be changed.
