Alright guys, I changed the wheels I had on my car earlier from standard VW allows to 16" BBS, since I have done this on the left hand front there is a weird noise which only sounds when I'm rolling to a stop or gently pressing the brake (not at high speed or under heavy breaking)...anyone have any ideas?

have you tried swapping that wheel from front to back to see if the noise follows?
somethings obviously become unsettled when swapping the wheel or the new wheel/tyre itself is a fault if there was no noise before, is it like a humming or something squeaking or what give us a bit more of a clue

No I haven't, I will try that though. Thanks! I wasn't too sure if the wheel bearing was possibly on its way out and by putting the bigger wheels on with the lower profile tyre it's possibly made it go...?

Are the wheels clearing the callipers?

Yeah they aren't hitting or rubbing on anything

Check that their balanced and when balanced fit them and get tracking done. That way you know everything is sound. As long as the inside rim of the wheel hasnt got any dents then the wheels should be fine

cheers mate, had it checked out today it turned out that there was a little bit of play on the hub, so i just put the rear wheel on the front and it has sorted it out. thanks for your help

sounds worrying how youve put that lol, does it need a spigot ring or something?

Yeah tell me about it, I have one coming tomorrow so fingers crossed that will sort it...
