When i go over bumps or pot holes in the polo, the back end makes a massive thud bang sound, I once had this on my old new beetle and it was the rear bushes that needed replacing, does the polo have similar ?

It's not that low to be honest, the coilovers have seized before I could drop it down again

What coilovers are you running?
I had similar on the front of mine, Turned out to be shot damping inserts on the FK Highsports I have fitted...

The coilovers are TA Technix (Hot Tuning) and have been on for about 3 years now, When i had 16's on it, I had to higher the car due to rubbing issues, and I didn't grease them up again at the time, so when i got my 15's I couldn't lower it any more as they had seized in the position they are in now.

The noise is like dropping something heavy in the boot, its a thud type noise.

I dunno if the suspension has had it or if there are rear bushes that can be replaced.

Easiest way to tell will be to jack her up mate.. reach through, grab the shock body and give it some vigorous rocking.. that should help narrow down the problem a little..?

You're probably hitting the rear beam with the exhaust.
