High spec Mk4 Ibiza Cupra - Stage 2+ LSD Compomotives etc
Posted: Tue Jan 31, 2012 1:06 pm
This has been my second Mk4 Ibiza, my first being a '57' plate Ibiza FR in white. The only reason for selling my first was to itch the petrol scratch I was having after a year of diesel power! Both cars are quite well known on the Seat enthusiast forums.
Bought it as a low mileage, 100% standard blank canvas, with the intention of spending a little bit of money on it to make it how I wanted and then to progress onto another car of higher value once I'd had my fun. This ended up becoming a snowball situation for me where I have spent allot of money upgrading the car and even to this day I still haven't stopped as its allot of fun and very subtle!
Details
2004 '54' plate
56,500 miles
Full Service History (serviced 3 times since my ownership inc cam belt and metal water pump)
0 tax 11 months mot (as soon as new buyer insures it, I will tax for 6 months online)
As mentioned the car was bought 100% standard so all the below has been carried out in the past year and a half, in my ownership. Work on the car has been carried out mainly by Vasstech in Northallerton, which specialise in Volkswagen Audi Group vehicles, im sure Paul at Vasstech would be able to vouch for this car. The Differential, clutch and flywheel were fitted at Jabbasport who are specialists in 1.8 20vt engined cars.
Exterior
Gloss black front grill surround and badge.
Citroen C3 aerial
Cupra gloss black mirror covers
De-wipered Rear window
Bosch Retro fit aero front wipers
6k HID kit
Compomotive Motorsport 1782 Alloys, staggered offsets (really set the car apart from the rest, its sitting bang on)
Yokohama Paradas on the rear. Front ones are falken fk452's and are much better imo
Selective locking is turned off (press unlock once and all doors and the boot lock/unlock)
Locking beep is activated, just so you know it is locked whilst walking away. It does not beep when you unlock it, as it is obvious if it unlocks.
Windows can be opened and closed off the keyfob (you'll be hard pushed to find another that can do this off the factory ecu)
Any car park dings have been taken out by just dents paintless dent removal.
Interior
Alpine Ipod head unit
Boost gauge
Cupra Pedal Covers
Momo seat sport gearknob
Stripped out rear
Full size cupra alloy as a spare with new tyre.
Full toolkit is present in the boot.
Suspension & handling
Weitec Coilovers with brand new genuine top mounts and bearings(had these on my old Ibiza too, fantastic)
Whiteline rear anti roll bar, set on medium setting
Seat Sport strut brace on the front
Full set-up of tracking carried out and print out is in the folder
Seat Sport AP racing 4 pot front calipers
312mm Front Drilled and grooved discs complete with Ferodo DS2500 pads
232mm Rear Drilled discs complete with Brembo rear pads
HEL Braided Brake lines on the front
Due to the electronic steering column on the car I have coded in the ecu to make the steering slightly heavier. The steering is too light as standard for this nature of car.
Engine & Transmission
Forge Turbo Intake Pipe
APR R1 recirculation valve
Forge Coldside Relocation Kit
Forge intercooler outlet pipe to throttle body
NewSouth Power Gasket to stop heat transfer between the head and inlet manifold.
Denso Iridium IK22 plugs
Milltek Turbo back exhaust with center resonator.
SuperPro dogbone mount
Sachs clutch and lightened abf flywheel (lightened to 6.2kg and balanced with the sachs pressure plate)
Peloquin ATB Differential complete with arp bolts (fantastic bit of kit and the best money spent on the car, all of the cars power and torque is usable and it just grips and grips)
All new coil packs before it was mapped
New bosch MAF sensor
2 spare coil packs located in toolkit in the boot
Big Fish Tuning Custom Stage 2 Tuning. Three rolling road print outs varying from 236-245hp and 265-274ftlbs torque at the flywheel. 207-212hp at the wheels.
I'm sure John would have no problem giving the car his backing from when he's tuned/ driven it.
Bad bits
Front end has a number of stone chips due to the car sitting on the a19 for the majority of its time in my ownership.
Left hand side wheels have a couple of grazes on them from when I got too close to a kurb for a passing ambulance.
Just been honest, hate going to view cars that are 'mint' when they are not.
General information
The car is also good on fuel, should it need to be, taking into account its stage of tune on the way to my old work it managed 38-42mpg over 27 miles. This included a short town journey, followed by 7 miles of A road and the rest dual carriageways. I have seen as high as 48mpg (really?!) over a 39 mile journey where I really was trying to get the best mpg!
Links can be obtained, from me, to the various build threads on the car. Everything is documented, I have nothing to hide.
The full interior is still available
The standard parts are still present and available, except the back box which went on my old Ibiza fr funnily enough and I sold the standard wheels, except the spare in the boot.
A few pictures of it:

I’ve got over 350 pictures with regards to this project so if any more are wanted of any areas at all, just ask.
Chance to own a very good example of my childhood icon has come up and forces an unwanted sale.
£6250 as i will be taxing it for the buyer
Can also add in a full ko4 conversion with every part present including badger 5 ko4 tip, low mile ko4 with forge actuator, lcr maf housing, injectors, oil and coolant lines, manifold with all bolts and gaskets etc etc for £7000
