Washer pump

Hi,

In true style of my luck!! My washers stopped working. First of all the rear one had a drama as the hose had popped off under the air box, then I was loosing fluid from the bottle. I could hear the pump working but nothing was coming out so today I:

Took the arch liner out to have a good look and I found frozen water around the pump and there was still fluid in the bottle (at least I know it's not split!!) When I activate the pump water squirts out from around the pump outlet. Now here's the weird thing, if I take the hoses off water flows out of the black side of the twin outlet. If I remove the twin outlet, water is gushing out of the pump.
This indicates to me the pump is knackered, as surely water shouldn't be flowing out of it without it being activated??
Can anyone shed a bit more light before I order a new pump??

Really, you need to defrost all the frozen sections and see if you can pump "the correct mixture" through the pipework - both front and rear. I'd expect that some liquid would run through the (otherwise good) pump when its outlets are disconnected.
