Motor for an electric window ?

Hi first post so hope this is right? I have an X REG 1.6 POLO GTI and a few weeks ago my drivers side elecric window stopped working, i don't know much about cars but my mate does, he took the door panel off and after checking for fuses etc he detected that i needed a new motor, his friend also had a look and confirmed that i needed a new motor.
After fruitless searches at my local car wreckers and also ebay i am struggling to find one, does any one know where i could find one and how much am i looking to buy it for?
