Hi

anyone else with a 6R had condensation in any of their head lights ?

also i have some weird contamination in the area where the side light bulb is. It kind of looks like plastic shaving :(

i aint even touched the things and the car was a lease car before i bought it

Take off the rubber bulb covers and remove the bulbs themselves, check to see if any of the holes for the bulbs have been enlarged at all. Might have been drilled or similar for the previous owner to fit HID bulbs? Just a thought...

As for the condensation, a mate of mine just bought a new car with xenons. Fogged up completely the first time he used them but cleared and it's never been a problem since. Hopefully its the same case here?

best way to stop the condensation is to drill a small hole at the top of the headlight casing , ofcourse once you've sorted it out with vw, you'll be lucky if they do anything, my mot tester had a w sharan and he had condensation they just f****d him off, good luck to yourself though tell them you not happy you'll never buy a new vw again and your going to tell as many people as possible, they might just back down, who knows.

Will know on Monday if it's being fixed. If not I will sort it my self

Problem is that those marks are dry not wet. So they won't go away without wiping
