Hi all,

My first post ...
I ordered a GTI last week, so just starting the long wait!
Despite the apprehension over the possible oil use I am really looking forward to getting it.
Thought i would sign up now and get a feel for it from others on here to help pass the time. Going to be counting down the days!

That would be good! They need to do something it seems. Its due for delivery mid July so have to hope they have something in place by then?

Vw bluetooth phone thingy

Vw offered me a couple of other cars today in case i didnt want the wait. Turned them down though as one 5 door and both no roof/ slightly different specs.

I didn't enquire about the prices as the specs were so far off what i wanted. Both didnt have a roof which was the main thing that lost my interest but also didnt want 5 doors etc

Sounds like there is at least a couple unregistered in the country at the moment. Wasn't clear if Windrush had them themselves or if they had the lead from another dealer/VW head office.

Do wish I had gone for the xenons as well now - but had to draw the line somewhere I guess!

I chose the Xenons, I am fed up with yellowish candle lights called lights. Lol!

I try not to drive too much at night, but its a fair shout ... I think it was going to put up the monthly cost by that little bit too much so didnt bother. I will wear night vision goggles instead.

I had a note to say mine had moved forward a couple of weeks a couple of weeks ago to late june/first week July.
Now had another update to say its moved forward another 28 days to the first week of June. At this rate it will be arriving next week!
