VCDS Coding - Alarm "beep"

Hi All,

I know this feature can be enabled by the dealer, however a friend has VCDS and a vagcom cable, so would like to help myself.
Does anyone know the coding to enable the "confirmation alarm beep".

Would really like this as the dealer already coded the selective locking and auto locking of doors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

I got this working.

Easy fix through VCDS, mine at least has the nice "quieter" beep and NOT the Alarm Honk.

BCM PQ25 (09 - Cent. Elect.)
Byte : 5
And I enable bit 1 and 4

Worked a treat

just out of interest, how much did your dealer charge you for the coding ?

Talking from 9n3's coding (the model previous to yours) the alarm chirp is within the 'Central Convenience' section on VCDS, click on that and select 'adaptation' then click through the groups until you see something like 'BEEP UNLOCK' or something similar, with 'BEEP LOCK' on an adjacent group, change both of these values from '0' to '1', test and save.

Unless the 6r operates with totally different codes, in which case ignore all of the above :P I'm just offering the information on the assumption that the programs are similar.

The dealer did not charge me anything for it.
I seem to have a good "relationship" with the dealer.

Found the setting, it is called acoustic sound on lock" or something like that, basically in the same place as previous model, thanks for all the feedback.

Much appreciated.

I take it you need an alarm for this to work?
