RX-2 Questions

Hi all!

Couple of quick question about the RX-2s on the Polo. Firstly, can I get away with 55mm centre caps? Some of mine have gone nasty, or been stolen. I've found some on eBay for a few quid, and even if they're rubbish, they're better than staring at the spline thing on the end of the hub.

Secondly, since fitting 30mm spacers to each side of the front, it looks, frankly, crap. Is it possible to get 15x7 barrels for the RX-2? I've looked, but don't seem to be able to find any. I don't really wanna change the wheels as it's not in keeping with my long term plans for the car, but I want a wider track at the back, but don't want spaced out 6" wheels as they'll look even worse!

Hi mate! Did you ever go for these centre caps in the end?

They fit a little recessed in the wheel though - I'll get a photo in the morning of what I mean. Any other queries with them?

Notice they sit flush with the edge of the wheel?

See there's a tiny ~1mm recess between the face of the wheel and the face of the badge? Not massively annoying and only shows if you're crouched staring at them though.

Lucky I parked with them both the right way up too!

Ahh nice! They don't look bad at all though and like you say you'd only notice that close up. I might order myself up a set to replace the ones I had nicked a while ago!
