I was thnking it was kinda pricy too!

SCOOP!

http://www.seat.co.uk/generator/su/uk/i ... ain-p.html

Just check Seat's website and they've posted the prices for the new cupra petrol and diesel Ibiza

Cupra TDi 160 3 £13486.81
Cupra 20V T 180 3 £ 13022.98

So basically it's £500 cheaper for the new 160 bhp Ibiza than the Polo GT. I'm actually quite temped by the 180 bhp petrol for £13k. Sounds like a serious bargain!

I don't think the Cupra's out for a couple of months yet so I'm not sure if these prices will stay the same.

The OTR price for the Ibiza is £16000 for the Deisel and £15500 for the Petrol. Is that the OTR price for the GT?

Doh, Should have read it more carefully before posting  Thought it sounded too good to be true. From thinking it was cheap before the OTR £15.5 now seems kind of expensive though. Given you can get a civic type-r for 16k or a Seat Leon Cupra R/ mk4 Golf GTI-180 for about 17k (local dealers here are doing deals on them anyhow). Defninitely gonna head out for a test drive of one if I get the chance though

Actually, after double checking VWs site it says that £14,125 is the anticipated price so nothing's really set in stone yet. Sounds about right though.

All the prices on VW's site are OTR prices, so I guess this one's the same. I was thinking it was a bit cheaper than I thought.

Might still hang on to see if a GTI turns up with the facelift though...

Is the PD130 engine the same as the Golf IV?
If it is AMD Auto offer a chip from 130bhp to 185bhp!

That would be awsome with a 6-speed box too.
