Hi, I own a polo 9n 1.4 16v 53 plate. I've been having a lumpy start up on the car and was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is. It starts then the revs drop off as if it's going to stall and does that three or four times then settles down. I've looked at a few things but can't seem to find or solve the problem. I also have noticed a little judder at around 2k revs in second and third gear don't know if this is linked.

Thanks.

I'd try and get it scanned on vagcom as sounds a lot like a a sensor like icv or coolant temp sensor. Have you noticed your fuel consumption going up?

I've had it hooked up to a computer and got these codes 17989, 17952, 17580, 17962. All relate to the icv which I've had off and cleaned as I read that it can get rather clogged up but that doesn't seem to of done anything. Any more suggestions is the icv on the way out?
