Can anyone recommend a good quality set of headlight bulbs?

I have had a look on the bay and seen some 100w ones and wondered if anyone has tried them, apparently they are an upgrade but I'm not sure wether they are legal or not.

Cheers

100w "rally" bulbs aren't legal but so long as your lights are alligned correctly it won't be an issue anyways, used em on cars previously with no problems with mot etc. I think proper bright lights like osram nightbreakers although lower wattage give better results.

100w ones will be putting your wiring under alot of load for minimal benifits.
Id just stick to the decent makes, or even halfords ones that are £20 each. Do it when they have a bogof offer on.

was about to suggest mtec cosmos blue's, but chewy beat me to it. That said, I've never tried them myself, but from what I have heard and seen is that, they may look all fancy but you somewhat sacrifice light output.

I have a pair of Philips x-treme Vision in mine. If you shop around you can get them for around £22 a pair. The beam colour is white with a tiny bit of yellow, I might try a pair of Nightbreaker's next since they seem popular and then I'll have a basis for comparison too.
